Def Delivery

Def Delivery Across Ontario

Stop sending drivers to truck stops for $15 jugs of DEF. Refuel Mobile delivers bulk diesel exhaust fluid (totes, drums, or direct tank fill) to fleets and job sites across Ontario, on a schedule that matches your burn rate, at a per-litre price that does not punish you for buying it the right way.

What DEF Is and Why Your Diesel Fleet Needs a Reliable Supply.

DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) is a 32.5% urea solution injected into the exhaust stream of any modern diesel engine running Selective Catalytic Reduction. It is not optional. Every Tier 4 Final on-highway truck since 2010 and every Tier 4 Final off-road machine since 2014 needs DEF on roughly a 1:50 ratio against diesel burn. Run out, and the engine derates to limp mode within minutes.

The default Ontario fleet still buys DEF the worst possible way: 9.46-litre jugs grabbed off a truck-stop shelf at $15 to $20 each. That works out to roughly $1.60 to $2.10 per litre, which is two to three times the bulk delivered price. Add a 10-to-15-minute driver detour per stop, plastic jug disposal, and the recurring risk of contamination from open-jug top-ups, and the truck-stop habit becomes one of the quietest margin leaks in any diesel fleet.

We deliver DEF in bulk, on schedule, in containers your operation actually wants.

Who We Serve

We deliver DEF to every kind of Ontario operator running Tier 4 Final diesel equipment:

On-highway transport fleets

moving freight across the QEW, 401, and 400 corridors

Construction and
infrastructure contractors

with Tier 4 excavators, dozers, loaders, and gen-sets

Municipal and utility fleets

with mixed light-and-heavy diesel

Agricultural and aggregate operators

with seasonal high-burn cycles

Bus, coach, and shuttle
fleets

where derate events strand passengers

Standby power and data
center operators

running large-format diesel gen-sets that need DEF on the same cadence as the diesel

The common thread: any fleet that already buys diesel from us (or anyone else) almost certainly buys DEF the wrong way. We fix the second half of the bill.

Bulk DEF Delivery — Totes, Drums, or Direct Tank Fill

We deliver in whatever format matches your operation. The four common configurations:

Every delivery format is ISO 22241 quality DEF (the international standard for purity, urea concentration, and contaminant limits). We do not blend, dilute, or store outside spec. DEF is unforgiving: a single contamination event can damage an SCR system enough to require catalyst replacement. We are paid to make sure that never happens to your equipment.

Direct tank fill

we pump from our delivery truck directly into your bulk DEF tank (closed-system, contamination-free)

1,000-litre IBC totes

drop, swap, or refill on a recurring cadence

208-litre drums

for smaller operations or remote sites where a tote is overkill

Mini-bulk portable units

for short-duration job sites or seasonal operations

Scheduled vs. On-Demand Delivery.

You pick the cadence:

1

Scheduled (weekly, biweekly, monthly).

Best for predictable burn — long-haul transport, municipal fleets, year-round construction. We size the cadence to your average burn rate and adjust as seasons change.

2

On-demand (call when you need it).

Best for variable burn — seasonal aggregate, project-based construction, intermittent gen-set load. Same-week response across the GTA and London corridors

3

Hybrid Delivery

Most fleets land here: a scheduled baseline to cover the predictable burn, with on-demand top-ups when usage spikes

Whichever cadence you pick, you never run out. Our delivery platform tracks your historical burn, flags low-tank events, and proactively schedules a refill before your DEF level reaches the warning threshold most modern engines hit at 10% remaining.

For a 25-vehicle fleet burning roughly 100,000 litres of diesel per year, DEF consumption runs around 2,000 litres annually. The cost difference between bulk delivery and truck-stop jugs alone is typically $1,800 to $2,400 per year, before counting recovered driver time and avoided derate events.

Why Ontario Fleets Choose Refuel Mobile for DEF

Three reasons our DEF customers stay our DEF customers:

One vendor, two products. We deliver diesel and DEF on the same visit, with one invoice and one driver to coordinate. Most distributors silo the two and charge you for the inefficiency.

ISO 22241 every time. We do not handle DEF the way most fuel distributors handle DEF (as a side product). It travels in dedicated, sealed equipment from a quality-certified source straight to your tank.

Proactive monitoring. Our customers do not call us. We call them. The first time you would have noticed a low DEF tank is the first time we have already scheduled the refill.
